February 24, 2014- We are pleased to announce that the Healthy Food Resolution passed in the February city-county council meeting.  The resolution, which comes at a time when 2/3 of Marion county adults and 40% of children are overweight or obese, promises to help support and promote a healthier Indianapolis.  Highlights of the resolution include: supporting the efforts of the Indy Food Council, building and supporting a local food system, and improving access to healthy food.

The Indy Food Council is hopeful that this resolution can be used to rally people together and help build a better food system for all Indianapolis residents.

A special thanks goes to councilpersons, Zach Adamson for sponsoring the resolution and Pam Hickman, Christine Scales, and John Barth for reading the resolution.
