Neighborhood Food Champion Program Launches!
Are you a passionate individual interested in food? Want to learn more about helping your neighborhood by improving food access in your area?
The Neighborhood Food Champions Program is a 10-12 week training program learning about topics ranging from: Advocacy,Food Systems, Community Organizing, Community Garden Planning, Grant Writing, and more!
This will be a small and intimate cohort of people who will learn from area experts and each other. Program will include 2 hour workshops once a week for 10-12 weeks, a field trip to another city, and a small monetary award upon completion of the program to develop and implement a sustainable food project in their neighborhood.
Participants must be highly committed, passionate about helping in their own neighborhoods, and bring ideas for potential food related projects.
